£1.8m High Wycombe Asda refurbishment to be unveiled

CUSTOMERS will get their first glimpse of a major £1.8m refurbishment of Asda in High Wycombe on Wednesday.
Mayor Julie Pritchard will lift the lid on the revamped supermarket in Holmers Farm Way, which first opened in 1982.

It will be heralded in by The High Wycombe Salvation Army band.
Tired old trolley bays, food counters and refrigeration units have been replaced as part of the ‘makeover’.

A game called checkout bingo will give customers the chance to win a bottle of champagne every hour the following weekend while a range of other activities are planned to celebrate the re-opening.
Facepainters and balloon modellers will be on site all day on Saturday September 12 and Sunday September 13.

There will also be a chance for shoppers to meet a fire crew from the area and see a fire engine close up.
Store Manager, Arrash Mahdavi, says: “We’ve moulded into something much better for our customers, the new store will be about stylish shopping without an enormous price tag.”
