Solution found to empty Woolies store

A NEW lease of life is being breathed into the former Woolworths building in Enfield Town after a new business moved in.The building in London Road has been taken over by Home Solutions, a small business based in Chingford.
Shop fitters are busily replacing the shelves before filling them up in time for a July 6 opening.Retail pundits have said that Woolworths, a company which opened its first British store in Liverpool in 1909, lost its way in the past decade because was too much of a general store.

Other high street discounters and internet businesses such as Amazon and Play also ate into its profits. But far from trying a different kind of shop altogether, the shop’s new boss, an independent trader from Woodford Green, intends to stick to a very similar formula to its former occupiers.
Shoppers can expect furniture, homewares, cards, toys, stationery and the old Woolies’ favourite, pick and mix.
